What it is DATABASE, FIELD and RECORD


What it is DATABASE ? 

      A database is a collection of information that is organized so that it can easily be accessed, managed, and updated. usually in a computer, this data could be in the form of graphics, reports, scripts, tables, text, etc., representing almost every kind of information.



What it is function FUNCTION DATABASE?

      Here are some of the functions inherent in a database concept.

  • Grouping the data, the database aims to group the data to be easily understood. Examples of a library system, there is a group of the books, the publisher, lending transactions, and students.
  • Avoiding duplication or inconsistency of data.
  • Make it easier to store, access, and update it, and delete data.
  • Ensure the quality of data and information that is accessible in accordance with the inserted (data integrity)
  • A solution in a storage process of data, particularly data.
  • Supporting the performance of applications that require a data storage.

WHAT it IS RECORD?  


           THE RECORD is a collection of related fields. Each record stores the data only about a single entity, which could be erupa people, places and objects, events or symptoms. Examples of records could be just your name and address and your social security number.







WHAT it IS FIELD?


            FIELD is a data unit that contains one or more characters (bytes). It is the smallest unit of information in a database. every field has a field name that describes the type of data that should be entered into the field. Instance field is your first name, street addressor gender you are.
